Everything here is fresh.
If you don't mind the local store decor set up - you have to eat here.
I absolutely loved my lobster po boy sandwich. I had my lobster grilled / blackened. And it was perfect.
The conch nuggets tastes like pork. Was a little too crispy but still good.
The conch chowder was flavorful -

I came in on the way to Key West, after a long drive, I wanted a quick snack. I ordered the Fried Conch, the cost was ok at $13.99, with tax, it came out to $16 for a good size serving.
The conch was done perfectly, not overcooked or chewy, however, it was really salty. Less salt on the batter please.
The service could have been friendlier, the counter person seems disinterested in her work, did not seem too friendly when ask questions about the menu.
Overall, a good experience, little pricey for their food, and the service did not make up for it. -

We stopped here for lunch one day because we saw that Brutus had good Yelp reviews.
The venue has both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to make use of the AC and ate inside. We ordered the Lamb and Pork Gyros with cole slaw and the Pink Key Shrimp with fries and cocktail sauce. The food was great and we definitely felt full afterwards. For dessert, we chose their Key Lime pie, which we were told was more tart than sweet. It was different from the Key Lime pies that we've had, but wasn't to our tastes.
Our waitress was polite and the wait time for our food was normal. While we enjoyed the food and atmosphere, I'm not as enthusiastic for Brutus as I am for some of the other places that I've dined at while in the Keys. -

For those of you who read my reviews, you know I am a fair but tough reviewer.
This venue is very well run place, with a chef that knows how to make his customers happy.
When going to the Keys, be sure to stop off at Brutus. It's very casual and not a fancy place but you won't regret your visit. -

Excellent food and service. I called ahead and they had a table waiting for us. I had the shrimp melt which was so good we came back the next day and ordered again for lunch. Homemade fries were very good too and their garlic lime cilantro dipping sauce was to die for!
